Gramley and Clive Driskill-Smith have commissioned Ann Arbor-based composer Stephen Eddins to write a new work for their organ-percussion duo: Organized Rhythm. Gramley will return to Marlboro Music Festival in mid-August for their finale concert of the Beethoven Choral Fantasy. This is a Marlboro tradition shared now by soloists Mitsuko Uchida and Richard Goode. Gramley first attended Marlboro in 1994 for a full summer of Bartok, Crumb and Horne.

Gramley will again direct the MPULSE Percussion Institute at the University of Michigan from July 3-16 2011. The third installment of this successful program will feature comprehensive college, university and conservatory prep for high-school age percussionists.
